The Graduate School is excited to announce The Richard Bland Fellowship Professional Pathways Program, an innovative pilot program to assist graduate students in exploring and preparing for a variety of career options, beyond the faculty positions to which many doctoral students aspire. This pilot program will also help us better understand the career choices UNC Chapel Hill graduate students are considering and the skills necessary for competitive placement.
University Career Services, in collaboration with The Graduate School, will provide a workshop for interested applicants to help them identify possible career internship opportunities, develop experiential learning objectives, prepare appropriate materials (letters of introduction and resumes), and learn about networking strategies to assist with developing project ideas and mentoring relationships. Applications are due April 17, 2015.
