The Carolina Center for Public Service (CCPS) offers a variety of opportunities for graduate and professional students to engage with local communities through research, teaching and public service.

Community Engagement Fellowships – CCPS awards $2,000 fellowships to individuals or teams of graduate students to develop and implement innovative public service and engagement projects that address social needs anywhere in the world. Fellows work with community partners and faculty mentors who are familiar with their topics or geographic areas. The fellowships run from March to October with project implementation occurring during the summer. Applications are due Feb. 8, 2016.
BPSS Graduate Assistants –To help graduate and professional students share their unique skills with undergraduates, CCPS offers $600 stipends to provide two skills trainings and assist in reviewing the senior portfolios of the Buckley Public Service Scholars program.  Applications are due Sept. 21, 2015.
Course Development Grants – The APPLES Service-Learning program, CCPS and the Office of the Provost provide up to six $3,500 awards to cultivate new service-learning courses at Carolina. Service-Learning Course Development Grant applications are open to all faculty and graduate instructors who teach undergraduate, graduate or professional student courses. Applications are due on Feb. 22, 2016.
