The Chateaubriand Fellowship call for applications is now open. The fellowship, sponsored by the Embassy of France in the United States, allows doctoral students enrolled in American universities to conduct research in France for 4 to 9 months. Chateaubriand fellows receive a stipend, a round trip ticket to France and health insurance.

Applications are due by 20 January 2016 at 12pm EST for fellowships starting during the 2016-2017 academic year.  The fellowship is divided into two sub-programs; one for students working in STEM fields, including health, and one for the humanities and social sciences (HSS). After reviewing the website, students with remaining questions should get in touch with the appropriate contact for their discipline.
