Consider applying to work at The Writing Center. We are seeking enthusiastic, student-centered teachers with diverse backgrounds to join our 2016-2017 staff.
Applications for our graduate writing coach positions (which are classified as teaching assistantships) are due on February 29. Full-time, degree-seeking graduate students in all UNC-Chapel Hill schools and departments may apply. Coaches work 15 hours per week, are eligible for health insurance, and receive the university minimum TA stipend, which is expected to be $7850/semester. The Writing Center does not provide tuition support, though working here often makes graduate students eligible for such support from their departments or the Graduate School.

Becoming a Writing Center coach provides a wonderful opportunity to develop your teaching skills, learn more about yourself as a writer, and join a community of like-minded graduate students from across the university.
