Title: Graduate Research Assistant (Part-time Temp)
Hiring Manager: Caprice Hunt
Work Hours: 20 Hours/week. (Must be willing to work at least 10 hours nights and weekends)
Hiring Salary Range: $14-$18/per hour
Position Description: The purpose of this part-time temporary position is to assist with the day-to-day operation of a large multicenter clinical trial of a health communication intervention under the direction of Dr. Susan J. Blalock. This project addresses the question of providing rheumatoid arthritis patients with clearer information about their medications and teaching them how to evaluate that information, will it improve patients’ ability to manage their disease with medication.
Job Details: Responding to telephone calls from individuals interested in participating in the study, assessing participant eligibility using a pre-defined protocol, and completing tracking logs to document participant recruitment. Collecting data from study participants at clinic site and via telephone interviews. Tracking the completion of all follow up data collection activities. Efficiently communicating with study investigators, and assisting in planning organizing meetings with collaborators. Maintaining patient confidentiality and patient files under the direction of the PI and Project Director in accordance with ORB-approved protocols. Following IRB-protocols and ensuring regulatory compliance.
