The Office of Postdoctoral Affairs (OPA) has (1) part-time position available. This position requires an independent thinker to assist with the coordination and facilitation of OPA professional development programs and special events. The Program Assistant will be responsible for speaker outreach and correspondence; securing facilities and catering; designing and overseeing marketing and publicity; Making updates to website and events calendar; and other general office responsibilities.


The Program Assistant must be highly motivated and organized –able to effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines. He or she must be able to function with minimal supervision. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. Knowledge of MS Office is required. Basic statistics and experience designing tables, charts and graphs in excel are a plus. The pay range is $10-$12 per hour depending on skills, availability, and whether or not the candidate is non-work study or work study. The successful candidate will be expected to work an average of 10-15 hours per week MWF.
