The Carolina Center for Public Service is seeking applicants for the following awards and fellowships:

 

Mingma Norbu Sherpa Fellowship

Named for the late Mingma Norbu Sherpa, a pioneering conservationist in the Himalayas who worked with the World Wildlife Fund, this fellowship supports students in field study and research in environmental areas at field sites with a $1,900 award. Field sites located abroad will be given preference when selecting winners. Click here for more information and to submit an application.

Robert E. Bryan Public Service Award

This award honors the memory and accomplishments of Robert Bryan ’26, who worked his way through the University to become a successful businessman, entrepreneur, and public servant. Five Bryan Awards will be given for a specific effort (rather than an overall record) exemplifying outstanding engagement and service to the state of North Carolina that is characterized by working in partnership with community members, inspiring and involving others and/or helping others to serve, responding to a practical problem, issue, or concern of the state, and/or working to assure a lasting impact in the community.  Click here for more information.
