About Stanford PRISM

Stanford Postdoctoral Recruitment Initiative in Science and Medicine (PRISM) is an opportunity for late-stage graduate students from broadly diverse backgrounds to explore postdoctoral training at Stanford. The program will allow students to discuss shared research interests with faculty, meet current Stanford postdocs, get an inside look on postdoctoral training at the University, and learn guidance on finding the right postdoctoral opportunity.

Eligibility

Stanford PRISM is directed toward advanced graduate students who expect to complete their PhDs in 2020-2021 and wish to continue their training as postdoctoral scholars. Encouraged to apply are interested students from groups that are underrepresented in academia, which includes (but is not limited to): African Americans, Latinos, Native Americans, Pacific Islanders, students with disabilities, first-generation students, and students from disadvantaged socio-economic backgrounds.

To apply

Interested students should complete the online application to be considered. Included in the application must be a CV, research statement, recommendation from a graduate advisor, and the names of Stanford faculty members with whom they would be interested in working. The deadline for applications is September 15, 2020. For more information and to find the application and funding guides, please click here.
