The position:
The Master of Arts in Educational Innovation, Technology, and Entrepreneurship program is seeking a graduate student to be its Marketing and Communications Associate for the fall 2021 and spring 2022 semesters. The selected candidate will be an aspiring marketing and communications professional who has some experience in a professional communications environment, specifically managing a social media presence. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing the MEITE program’s social media, promoting the program, and helping to promote recruitment efforts, through the creation of compelling and creative content. This content will include advertisements for recruitment as well as documenting the experience of current students in the programs in pictures and text. He/She/They will create a comprehensive social media plan and execute social media content for the MEITE program. They will also lead the development of a newsletter sent out to the MEITE program’s stakeholders each semester. A key component of this job is to create a social media advertising campaign using Facebook and Instagram as its main channels to drive potential students to MEITE’s information sessions, websites, and additional recruitment events.
How to apply:
Applicants must have some experience in marketing and communications, specifically in managing social media on behalf of a brand or organization. The applicant should be able to synthesize data and information, identify opportunities, and draw sound conclusions that guide and/or support marketing/communications. The compensation for this position is $20 per hour with up to 20 hours per week during the fall 2021 and spring 2022 semesters.
