About the position

Employment Term: August 2022–May 2023; depending on a mutual fit, a 2023-2024 placement is possible.

Hours: 20 hours per week in the office/telecommuting including selected evenings and weekends

Compensation: $15,000 yearly stipend paid hourly at $18.75

Reports to professional staff under the leadership of the Director, Ion Outterbridge

Background/Overview: The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill has a large fraternity and sorority community, consisting of approximately 3,200 student members from 50 Greek-lettered organizations that are overseen by 4 governing councils. Embodying and promoting the pillars of scholarship, brother/sisterhood, leadership, and philanthropy and service, FSL works to foster growth and development of individuals and chapters within our community.

Primary Functions of Position: Report to professional staff under the leadership of the Director, and serve as a member of UNC StudentAffairs-Assist with the development and organization of the annual Presidents Leadership Academy, Standards of Excellence Awards program, and other educational/training programs-Assist with data collection to generate the community scorecard and the evaluation and assessment of programs and services provided by FSL-Other duties as assigned or of special interest to the graduate assistant, including health/wellness promotion and prevention education (Interpersonal Violence, Alcohol and Other Drugs, Eating Disorders, etc.) and diversity and inclusion initiatives-Other duties as assigned

Required or Preferred Qualifications: Enrollment in a related graduate program; membership in a Greek-lettered organization or experience working with fraternities and sororities
