About the program
The Baxter Young Investigator Award program seeks to stimulate and reward research applicable to the development of therapies and medical products that save and sustain patients’ lives. The program consists of two tiers: first-tier awards include a $3,000 cash prize and a visit to Baxter to present the research; second-tier awards receive a $500 cash prize.

Categories of research that will be considered for awards include:
- Clinical nutrition
- Acute therapies
- Medication delivery
- Pharmaceuticals
- Renal care
- Advanced surgery
