The Carolina Asia Center (CAC), a unit of the College of Arts and Sciences and a Title VI-funded National Resource Center, is searching for a graduate student assistant.

Job Summary

Under general supervision, collect data to support reporting and compliance with the regulations of the US Department of Education grants held by the Carolina Asia Center. Assemble this data in spreadsheets and appropriate reports. When needed and available, participate in supporting CAC events.

Minimum Qualifications

• Good communication skills
• Experience gathering and analyzing data and producing and integrating information
• Experience with computer hardware and software for word processing, desktop publishing, spreadsheet, web editing and presentation tasks/assignments

NOTE: No Asia-related experience is required for this position

Hours: 7-10 hours per week

Hourly rate: $15/hour

Start Date: October 15, 2021

End Date: January 15, 2022—with the option of extensions
