ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The Carolina Population Center’s Training Program equips students with the skills, subject matter expertise, and interdisciplinary perspective to become leaders in the next generation of population scientists. We offer two formal programs: one in Population Science and one in Biosocial Science. Both programs combine coursework, professional development, and mentored research collaborations that span CPC projects and research areas.

APPLICATION PROCESS

We are currently accepting applications for traineeships for AY 2022-2023. The term of appointment is one year, beginning August 15, 2022. The review committee will consider applications from PhD students who already have confirmed funding in place for the next academic year as well as those seeking funding.
